Anthotiro is a traditional fresh white soft cheese, with a light refreshing taste and is low-fat cheese. Anthotiro, in a 300gr vacuum pack, is produced by Arvanitis dairy in Thessaloniki, N. Greece. Anthotiro is made from semi-skimmed fresh pasteurised sheep, goat and cow milk, contains salt, and is highly humid.
It is preserved in the fridge for 5 days after opening. Anthotiro is fresh, light and delicate with a creamy texture, ideal also for those following low-calorie diets, to add to salads and sandwiches. It is best served as a dessert accompanied by fruits, and nuts and topped with honey.
