Unlike the “usual” practice, Domaine Costa Lazaridi chose to offer Chateau Julia Chardonnay, a wine from the cosmopolitan variety that has no oak contact.
Varietal composition:
Chardonnay 100%
Alcohol / ABV: 13.5%
Vintage: 2020
Tasting Notes:
- Bright, straw-blonde, with green glimpses of freshness.
- Lively aromas of flowers and fruit, with jasmine, pineapple and banana standing out on a citrus background.
- Refreshing acidity combined with power and good structure. Fruity mouth and persistent finish.
Food Pairing:
Raw shellfish like oysters and clams, fish with herbs or light sauces, white meats with lemon or wine-based sauces, and semihard cheeses like kasseri.
Ageing:
Enjoy it the first 3-4 years of its life.
Other information:
Skin contact and fermentation in stainless steel tanks bring out the character of the variety and the vineyard.
