Cuvee III is an exceptional dry red wine, produced from the exquisite bend of the Greek and international varieties Mavrodaphne 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Agiorgitiko 20%. The grapes grow in mountainous vineyards close to Mega Spileo winery in Peloponnese,  at an altitude of 700-800 m. The grapes are carefully picked on the late October harvest.

The vinification is done separately for each variety. When the fermentation is complete, the varieties are mixed and matured in new American oak barrels for 8 months.

You can enjoy the wine as it is, freshly bottled or store it up to three years.

Cuvee III red, has deep purple colour with blue hues. On the nose is complex nose with notes of syrup from red fruits such as strawberry, brambleberry and other red berries, graphite and hints of chocolate and coconuts, with light aromas of sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate is warm and lush, balanced with granular tannins and long finish with spicy after-taste.

Ideally served with grilled or stewed red meats, pasta with red sauces, yellow cheeses.

Mega Spileo means Large Cave, and it took its name from its location near Kalavryta in Peloponnese, where there is a large cave and a Monastery, the second oldest continuously occupied religious place in the world. The vineyard belonged to the Monastery, where the monks making wine since the 15th century until it was completely abandoned in the beginning of the 20th century when the current owners took over and revitalised this historic vineyard.
