Moschato dry white wine, by Mega Spileo Winery, produced in a single organic vineyard on the Trapeza plateau, at an altitude of 850 metres , in Diakopto, Peloponnese, marking the wine as PGI Achaia. This Moschato wine is produced by grapes in 3 different maturation stages, with their harvest bing in August. The wine is fermented at low temperatures in small stainless steel tanks and matured for about four weeks.
Moschato PGI by Mega Spileo has pale yellow colour with green hues. On the nose it has enticing aromas of white flowers, herbs and tropical fruits. On the palate is pleasant and refreshing with crisp acidity and pleasantly fruity after-taste.

Ideally served with seafood, white meats, fried appetisers and green salads or on its own.

Mega Spileo means Large Cave, and it took its name from its location near Kalavryta in Peloponnese, where there is a large cave and a Monastery, the second oldest continuously occupied religious place in the world. The vineyard belonged to the Monastery, where the monks making wine since the 15th century until it was completely abandoned in the beginning of the 20th century when the current owners took over and revitalised this historic vineyard.
