The grapes are harvested the first ten days of September and the fermentation is done with selected yeasts at low temperatures. The wine is matured as a blend with the fine lees in stainless steel tanks for 2 months.
Rose PGI wine by Mega Spileo has pale rosé colour with shades of salmon pink. On the nose it has aromas of citrus and red fruits such as strawberries and other berries mingle pleasantly with herbaceous notes and mint. On the palate is refreshing with a fruity after-taste.
Ideally served with fish, seafood, white meats, pizza and pasta.

Mega Spileo means Large Cave, and it took its name from its location near Kalavryta in Peloponnese, where there is a large cave and a Monastery, the second oldest continuously occupied religious place in the world. The vineyard belonged to the Monastery, where the monks making wine since the 15th century until it was completely abandoned in the beginning of the 20th century when the current owners took over and revitalised this historic vineyard.
