Estate Mega Spileo Cabernet Sauvignon PGI has red colour with red hues. On the nose aromas of green bell pepper, red fruits and mint with smoky notes and hints of roasted nuts. On the palate is complex, full-bodied and structured, with string tannins, balanced acidity and a fruity after-taste.
Ideally served with grilled meats, slow-cooked game and aged, spicy cheeses.
*Careful transfer of the wine to a decanter before serving is recommended, to avoid sediments and allow the flavour profile to better express itself.
**It’s suitable for extensive ageing in the bottle.

Mega Spileo means Large Cave, and it took its name from its location near Kalavryta in Peloponnese, where there is a large cave and a Monastery, the second oldest continuously occupied religious place in the world. The vineyard belonged to the Monastery, where the monks making wine since the 15th century until it was completely abandoned in the beginning of the 20th century when the current owners took over and revitalised this historic vineyard.
