Hercules is a red dry wine P.G.I. [Protected Geographical Indication] ‘Peloponnese’, produced in Nemea from the Local Cooperative Winery. Hercules wine is made by Agiorgitiko, the indigenous grape variety of Peloponnese. A young Agiorgitiko of bright red color with unique purple hues and exquisite flavors of red fruits, principally cherries and blueberries. This wine binds harmoniously its gentle acidity with a rich body of earthly scents. Vintage 2017. Best served at 16-18°C.

A new favourite – fresh fresh fresh
A really pleasant surprise, especially for the price. Lighter in colour, alcohol and body than Nemeas I’ve had in the past, but far fresher fruit flavours and extremely well balanced acidity. It reminds me of a great Chianti but lighter on the tannin. I regret only ordering a bottle – I’m going by the case from now on.
