The Black Sheep – Mavro Provato Rosé wine 750ml Nico Lazaridi

The Black Sheep – Mavro Provato ‘Μαύρο Πρόβατο’ Rosé wine 750ml from Nico Lazaridi an eccentric name for a product that stresses out its diversity and particularity. A unique blend of local and international varieties with a varietal combination of 60%  Xinomavro, 40% Syrah. This is a PGI wine of Macedonia Appellation, produced at the Mackedon Winery and vineyards at Platanotopos, Kavala, North Greece.

Both varieties are harvested earlier than their optimal maturity to create a pale color rose with delicate aromas of citrus, botanical notes, strawberry and tomato leaves, which makes it ideal to enjoy this wine as an aperitif. Vintage 2023.

Tasting Notes:

In palate is rich due to Syrah’s high acidity and Xinomavro’s pleasant and refreshing aftertaste.

Mediterranean dishes, appetizers, green salads and seasonal fresh fruits.
