Mavrodaphne Reserve is a naturally sweet red wine is made of Mavrodaphne 70%, Korinthiaki 30% grapes, grown insSub-mountainous zone of Patras, in Peloponnese at an altitude of 300 – 500m, marking the wine as PDO Mavrodaphne of Patra.
Vinification process is particular and during the fermentation the product preserves part of the grape sugars. Then the wine ages for 7 years in oak barrels and fort least 4 more years in the bottle.
Mavrodaphne Reserve has complex character and pale red colour with orange hues. On the nose has aromas of dried fruits such as plum, fig, and raisin and notes of chocolate and hazelnut.
On the palate is rich, complex and sweet, with long-lasting and elegant after-taste.
Served as an aperitif on its own or accompanied by salty dishes (spicy cheese dip), syrup desserts and chocolates.
ABV: 15%
Served at 16-18 C.
