Metochi Chromitsa Red Wine is made from the combination of the indigenous Greek grape variety Limnio 40% and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Greece 60%, a Protected Geographic Indication (PGI) wine, produced in vineyards of Mount Athos, the monastic District in North Greece, a region of long winemaking tradition, with the hand-picked harvested method. The unique microclimate of Mt. Athos is near perfect for creating a truly ‘grand vin’.

Metochi has a scarlet colour, rich aromas of forest fruits and sweet spice notes from the barrel. The intense and generous presence of the Cabernet Sauvignon has a velvety texture that marks the Limnio with impressive but silky tannins and subtlely integrated barrique tones. Powerful and opulent on the palate with an aromatic and full-flavoured finish and ABV of 13.5%.

Exquisite with steak au poivre, roasted lamb ribs, duck in caramelised sauce, game and full-flavoured cheeses. Vintage 2015. Best served at 18 -20°C.
