Magic Mountain – Magiko Vouno white wine 750ml Nico Lazaridi

The Magic Mountain – Magiko Vouno ‘Μαγικο Βουνο’ white wine 750ml from Nico Lazaridi produced from Sauvignon Blanc variety. Magic Mountain refers to the gold of Mount Pangeon, North Greece that rises impressively opposite the winery.  This is a PGI dry white wine produced in vineyards in Drama, North Greece. It is matured for at least 6 months in selected oak barrels, with a gently stirred (bâtonnage) on fine wine lees, during these 6 months. It has a bright yellow colour, high and crisp acidity and long aftertaste. Vintage 2022.

Tasting Notes:

Intense nose with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits and notes of vanilla and sweet spices. The evolution in the bottle highlights tertiary aromas with dried fruits, peach jam, notes of honey, nuts, ginger and caramel.

Perfect Pairing:

seafood dishes, such as fatty fish, shellfish, grilled squid and pasta with seafood. White meats, such as poultry and pork, either plain or with white sauces. Fatty meats, such as goat and lamb. Ideal for white fresh or moderately aged cheeses.
